Bacalar, Quintana Roo

The last quiet corner of the Mexican Caribbean

One of the few places where nature still sets the pace. Its Lagoon of Seven Colors, fed by underground springs and home to living stromatolites, stretches alongside one of the country's most important mangrove reserves.

The region also holds archaeological treasures like Ichkabal—an ancient Mayan city recently opened to the public, with structures that rival Chichén Itzá in scale.

Wooden elevated cabins with hammocks nestled in a dense forest surrounded by tall trees.

Arriving at Boca de Agua

The entrance is on the Federal Highway. From the gate, a jungle path leads you through our 36-hectare reserve — spider monkeys in the canopy, the sound of birds, the scent of wet earth.

This is not a conventional hotel driveway. It's the beginning of your experience.

ARCHITECTURE

Designed by Frida Escobedo

Every structure at Boca de Agua was conceived by one of Mexico's most celebrated architects. The buildings emerge from the landscape rather than imposing on it — preserving 90% of the original land.
